I’m coming to you live from 30,000 feet up, as I soar from my home in Toronto, Ontario to San Diego, California!
This will actually be first time visiting California and I’m soooooOOOOoooOOOoooo excited!
Because I’m the worst at planning trips, I haven’t given any thought as to what I’d like to visit, aside from the San Diego Zoo! (Mostly to see the Madagascar movie characters but shhh!)
While I’ll technically be in San Diego on business, I’m hoping to break away on some of my down time to eat my way through the city. LOL! Stay tuned for an upcoming San Diego Food Guide as I share all of my west coast clean eating!
I’ve always felt like an inner west-coaster!
The beach, the ocean, the health conscious lifestyle and relaxed vibes… all right up my alley.
I also feel like everyone in California either runs / does yoga every day?! Am I right?!
I’m so excited to explore San Diego’s best plant-based restaurants and eateries, plus all of their juice bars and cafes!
Don’t get me wrong, I love Toronto in all of its glory, but I’ve always felt this inner gravitation toward the beach and toward nature. That’s actually why my husband and I will be travelling to Calgary and Vancouver later this year in celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary.
We’re both looking forward to the relaxing atmosphere and disposition of the folks living out west.
I love Toronto, but I love me some nature + oceanfront life + beach vibes even more!
The hotel I’m staying at happens to be right on the San Diego Marina, so morning runs on the boardwalk and yoga on the beach will be mandatory.
I’m planning on hitting up Balboa Park while I’m in SD and the USS Midway Museum, too. I’ve actually also got a meeting scheduled with the folks at Mamma Chia to pick up some of their awesome chia seeds for recipe testing when I get back home!
I was HOOKED to west coast life earlier this year when I stayed at an amazing resort in Los Cabos San Lucas.
Granted, it was a five-star hotel & spa and I barely had to lift a finger all week, but that Pacific Ocean, beach and the wildlife just blew my mind.
I’m hoping to fall in love with California and hopefully visit more often in 2017 & 2018!
So! What am I missing in my San Diego Must Visits List?! Let me know in the comment box below if you can think of anything worthwhile! So far I’ve got:
