Christmas is the time for cheer, spreading joy, being thankful, giving, and hopefully if you’re like me, not waiting to the last minute to get all of your gift shopping done!
I was good this year. I’m proud to say that I won’t even be stepping foot into the Eaton Centre for the whole two weeks leading up to Christmas! (a big accomplishment given my track record!)
Instead, I’ll be designing the food & drink menu for friends and family coming over for the holidays. And if your family is anything at all like mine, unexpected drop ins are to be expected.
I have to say, I actually enjoy having friends and family pop in unannounced, so long as I’m prepared! The more the merrier is my motto, and why not? ‘Tis the season, right?! Sometimes there’s nothing better than to surprise your surprise-guests with delicious treats that they weren’t expecting! 🙂
What can be better than family gathering at Christmas, a fridge full of ready-to-serve snacks, and festive cocktails that are quick to prepare?!

For the fifth day in my 12 Days of Christmas series on Inspired by Nick, I’ve partnered with Montellier to bring you a fun #FestiveFizz cocktail recipe! Perfect for serving those unannounced family members who shall remain nameless. 😉
Holiday Recipe! Pomegranate-Rosemary Festive Fizz Cocktails!
In the spirit of being home for the holidays, coincidentally, Montellier is from Quebec, just like me!
Montellier is a sparkling water that I actually really love serving guests when I’m entertaining, and I find it pairs really nicely win gins and vodkas for cocktail recipes. A classic vodka-soda with lime is a staple for S and I. And after a few cocktail recipe testings, so are these Festive Fizz cocktails!
The only ingredients you need are:
- 1 oz vodka
- 350 ml Montellier Original Sparkling Water
- 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
The taste of these cocktails is crisp, refreshing and above all, festive! I’m not quite sure what it is about pomegranates that I’ve been so enthralled with lately, but they’re in season and I love finding multiple uses for them. Everyone I’ve served these cocktails to has shared that they loved the pops of colour and bursts of flavour from the poms!
The rosemary sprig is a nice touch, too. I happen to hold rosemary in very high regard, as my second favourite herb, next to cilantro of course! I’m not quite sure how this cocktail would taste with fresh cilantro as opposed to the rosemary, so I won’t recommend it! >_<
Like I mentioned, Montellier is sourced from Quebec. And while my heartmate and I have been living in Toronto for four years now, Montreal, QC will always be home for us.
It’s so nice to be able to serve something to guests, that sourced from a place you call home. It just makes the feeling of giving and entertaining that much more special for us.
What are your favourite cocktails recipes?
These pomegranate-rosemary cocktails are the ice-breakers when it comes to holiday entertaining! I hope you enjoy more from my 12 Days of Christmas series on Inspired by Nick over the next week!
