Have you tried Jordan’s Morning Crisp yet?!
Years ago, in a game of “Name your Favourite Cereal”, my friend Anthony named Jordan’s Morning Crisp as his favourite breakfast food, and I quote “they should have their own food category” LOL! Well, a couple months later, S & I were grocery shopping at Loblaws when I spotted the brand. We picked up a box to try and have been HOOKED ever since.
Jordan’s Morning Crisp, Dark Chocolate is our favourite flavour.
But they’ve got like five or six different flavours to choose from. We also really like the Maple and Pecan flavour! When shopping for cereals, it’s SO EASY to be deceived by the packaging, the labels, the headers/claims and of course, the shelf-placement. So many cereals are labeled in favour of the brand as opposed to the customer! I remember picking up a cereal (which I won’t name) that boasted 13 grams of protein, strategically placed on the front of the box, with the graphics drawing your eye to focus on just that! Yet, turn the box 90 degrees and check out the number of grams of sugar. Compare the ratio and voila, you’re consuming over three times the quantity of protein, in sugar alone – most times added refined white sugar, the worst kind!
Jordan’s Morning Crisp can be found in the organic sections of most local grocery stores, another selling point I like. When shopping, I like to know that the brands I’m buying can be trusted, and Jordan’s Morning Crisp’s line of cereals all boast 100% Natural, which I love. No artificial flavours or preservatives, and the sugar comes from natural sources. What’s more? The first ingredient on the label (the one that is most prevalent) is wholegrain cereals (oat flakes, barley flakes and oat flour).
As something quick, and as an alternate option to scrambled eggs (which I could legitimately every every single day for eternity) – Jordan’s Morning Crisp, Dark Chocolate is definitely my go-to. S can eat it every single day of the week, I have to refrain myself from doing to same sometimes! What are your favourite cereals? Have you had the chance to try Jordan’s yet? I’d love to hear!
