Hey Friends!
Long time no blog! How goes it?! It’s been quite a busy time for me (as many of you know) as I gear up for my big day, which is sooooooon approaching! Coupled with that, my office recently relocated to an amazing top two floors of a funky-cool building in Toronto’s Financial District! I can’t wait to share some pics with you of the wicked cool space!
Recently I received some of the BEST greeting cards I’ve ever seen in my life, from Just Greet! They’re an awesome Vancouver-based greeting card company who specialize in making people smile! Well, that’s how I see it anyway. When I received the card above with a personalized message, it reminded me of the “good old days” (yes, I went there) where we used to write each other thoughtful messages and send them via post! Crazy concept nowadays, huh?!
I do have to say, that receiving the card from Just Greet was definitely the peach of my day that day!
And I thought, why not send more cards?! Especially if you’ve got a close friend or loved one that you haven’t chatted with in a while. What better way than to reconnect by sending a handwritten note?! It shows that you put ACTUAL EFFORT into reconnecting with them rather than just shooting over a text or email!
I couldn’t help myself. The cards were TOO CUTE not to photograph! Right?! So I snapped a few pics, threw them up on the blog, and off I went to write five beautiful messages to the people I loved most! And that aqua colored card with the text that reads “gratitude” might have been my favorite because I received it at a time when I was learning about Shawn Achor’s Happiness Challenge (if you haven’t read up on it yet, I highly recommend).
Shawn shares that one of his secrets to happiness is writing down one thing that you are grateful for, each and every day… and I couldn’t agree more. Writing it down on paper is the literal version of getting something out of your system, and when you see it, you visualize it and you retain it. Moments later, this psychological reaction goes off in your brain that you aren’t even aware of, and low and behold, you feel happy!
Crazy to think how much receiving a greeting card can affect your mood!
What are some of the things you’re grateful for? I know that for the first few days of the challenge, I jotted things down like “being surrounded by people who care about me” and “being able to call my mom from time to time to chat about things” to even “having a great workplace environment”.
I’m also grateful for all of YOU! The people who pop into Inspired by Nick while you browse the web for inspiration! You guys make up my community of readers, and what’s more, my cyber friends!
Be sure to check out Just Greet on Facebook and Instagram for all of their cute and quirky greeting card designs! Take a pic of your card and they just might #Regram it 🙂
Happy Monday everyone!

Stay inspired!
Hi Nick! We carry JustGreet greeting cards in our small bookstore. I’ve been trying to get in touch with them but website & emails don’t go through. Do you happen to know if they changed their name or how to get in touch with them? We just love their cards. Thanks!
Hi Becky,
Great question – I just checked their instagram account and saw that “user could not be found”. I’m not sure what happened to them unfortunately! Wish I could be more help!
