Have you heard?! lbs Toronto is one of the city’s newest restaurants and I got to sit down and sample their menu. Here are the delicious deets!
lbs DOES NOT stand for the pounds (lbs) you would gain from eating every item on the menu (which can likely happen given how awesome everything looks)!
lbs DOES stand for Lobster, Burgers, Salads, as those are the three main foods they serve! Oh, and it’s pronounced “pounds”!
The innovative Toronto restaurant, conveniently located on Yonge Street in the Financial District, offers just four menu items at a fixed price of $22.00!
The price point is definitely at a sweet spot for business lunched. And having only four items to choose from, really makes narrowing down on something quick and easy. I popped in on a weekday for lunch with a friend (and fellow blogger) of mine; Megs Cucina, and we ordered the full lobster (1.25 lbs with side salad and fries) and a lobster salad. Both were delicious!
We visited during the first or second week that lbs Toronto opened, so the restaurant was PACKED during lunch! But we made sure to just sit back, order a glass of prosecco and enjoy the seafood! Looking back, I think I would’ve liked to try the burger, but I was feeling pretty full from breakfast that morning so I just went for the salad.
The lobster salad was light and fresh, but not over-dressed which was nice. And the full lobster was absolutely delicious; super fresh and not too chewy!
lbs Toronto really is a great spot. There were plenty of business professionals dining in the restaurant, and a ton of young professionals lined up at the takeout window for something to go. Oh and the fries! I can’t forget about the fries! They were sooooooooo good! Am I the only one who does this? I make sure not to order them with my meal, but whoever I’m with, I get THEM to order the fries and I just end up sneaking a few 🙂 LOL! Turns out, that at lbs Toronto though, I couldn’t just stop myself at a few, I ended up eating more fries than Meg! #planfailed!
But it was worth it. The lobster, the fries and the un-ordered burger, totally worth $22 a pop. This new Toronto Restau is on my hotlist and a must try! Tweet at me when you go or tag me in your intagram (@inspiredbynick) to show me what you ordered!
