Good morning from one of my favorite Toronto rooftops!
It’s only Thursday, and so far, what a week it has been! The Raptors are up against The Cavaliers in the Conference Finals, yesterday I attended my first ever Blue Jays game and got to experience it with my heartmate in the Samsung Lounge. PS – they revealed some of their new 4k TV’s that are absolutely insane! I’ve gotta have one! I’ve been prepping for the long weekend coming up, as I have my best man and his girlfriend coming to visit. And lastly, I picked up this new pair of sneakers from Sanuk!
You know when you’re looking for a new pair of shoes and all you really care about is comfort?
That was kind of how I was feeling when I found these shoes from Sanuk! I slipped them on and it was like walking on a cloud. With slip-on sneakers like these, that usually only last one or two seasons, the style of the shoe doesn’t really leave for a lot of padding and comfort since they’re often so low to the ground. But what I love about these Sanuk shoes is that they really do put comfort first. Their slogan is “Never Uncomfortable” – and it’s true!
Sanuk Shoes are some of the most comfortable I’ve ever worn!
It honestly felt so light and breezy to walk in them, like a cloud, so I thought it would be fun to shoot them all the way up in the sky! Don’t they look good? In fact, they look that good that I’m even thinking about buying myself a pair of white sneakers too because these blue ones have been a massive hit. So much so, that I wanted to share them with everyone from the sky. I happen to spend a lot of time on this rooftop. With the constant hustle and bustle of downtown Toronto and condo-life, taking a few minutes on the roof is one of my favorite things to do. I find it SUPER calming. It’s kind of a weird feeling to still be right IN the madness of city life, yet removed at the same time, just observing, re-centering, and relaxing.
S & I always have the “What’s next for us” conversation. What city are we going to live in? Are we going to move into a house at some point? Do we still want to live downtown? The honest answer is often, “we’ll see when the time comes”. Two years ago when we were both still in Montreal before the move, we never would have thought we’d be here! If we’ve learned anything, it’s that no matter how much you try to plan, you never know what life might throw your way! BUT! I will say this, so long as I’ve got a pair of comfy shoes and rooftop I can relax on, I’ll be good 🙂
If you like this pair of Sanuk shoes that I picked up, you can grab a pair for yourself (or your heartmate) on their site right here.
