Every now and again, what’s old can be new.
A sense of repurpose, or cleansing.
There’s this painting that’s been hanging in mine and my heartmate’s living room for a little over two years now. And as someone who moves so quickly from one thing to the next, I often question the value, or the purpose of what I have in front me.
Is this still interesting to me?! Does it serve a purpose? Do I still in fact, enjoy looking at it?
The painting’s prior design, was of something superficial. I won’t even bore you with the details. Ultimately, it was time for a cleanse. Time to surround myself with positive messaging, opposed to superficial ones.
I was so inspired by a trip I took to San Diego a couple of months ago, in visiting Cafe Gratitude. The walls and windows are covered with uplifting messages like “I am divine. I am beautiful. I am bold”. Painting over an old superficial message, to surround myself with positivity was what Sunday was all about. I won’t show you the work in progress, but I WILL unveil a final “after” shot.
This vibrant and energizing raspberry-banana smoothie bowl is JUST what I needed as a Monday pick me up! The colour really POPPED!
Tuesday was all about getting back into my yoga flow at the studio, and treating myself with a late night buddha bowl dinner.
PS – I recently received a comment on one of my bowl pics on Instagram asking for the recipe. Is this something you guys want more of?
A humpday treat at Hopscotch was the perfect lunch time pick me up. I love trying out all of the items on their menu! Being an ambassador for Hopscotch has many perks, but most of all I’m just honoured to work with such great people!
What a special day. My birthday. Words cannot even begin to express the gratitude and inspiration I drew from all of the loving friends and family who wished me a beautiful day.
I spent the afternoon at my favourite spa – Miraj Hammam by Caudalie, at the Shangri-La Hotel. And I’ll be sharing all of my favourite moments in a separate post, from the massage, to the relaxation room, to pool & amenities and the impeccable service from a team of amazing individuals. Stay tuned!
Sooooooo, on Friday night I may have (voluntarily) made a slight fool of myself as I rapped all the words to countless RnB songs from Usher, to Nicki, to Drake and Weezy. How I know all of the words to these songs, I have no clue.
BUT it was all for a fun celebration of my beautiful-souled friend Hillory of First Time Things. What better way to celebrate her birthday than a night of Karaoke! Right?! Plus, she inspires me all the time with her positive attitude and her contagious smile!
Saturday mornings are made for bagels and brunching right?! Well they are in my eyes, anyway! 😉 I’d been wanting to create a photo like this for a long time, so I just woke up, rummaged through the fridge and pantry, and just did it!
What do you think?! Which bagel & topping is your favourite?!
