I may go so far as to say that my all time favourite things to do on the weekends, is waking up early, making a pot of tea, and reading the latest scoops in the weekly New Yorker. This was exactly my lazy morning yesterday.
S was still asleep, and I could hear the dog breathing heavily over in his plush bedding. The light was just starting to creep in, and I was ready to start my day, slowly.
I took pleasure in the simple things, of just boiling a pot of water for tea, and reading the words of journalists printed in my favourite magazine. True morning bliss! If only my weekdays were equally as calming!
Last Sunday was all about ignoring the war-zone that was my inbox, and leaving everything until Monday. Letting myself enjoy the beauty of doing nothing. Dolce far niente! And later in the day I made time for some weekend baking, because sometimes I just love the smell of freshly baked goods wafting through the house!
I wanted to feel energized on when I woke up on Monday morning, so I made myself a purple power smoothie! I threw all of my favourite ingredients into a cup and just sipped my way to a happy Monday! Recipe for the cup here on my Instagram!
What better way to spend a Tuesday night with the folks over at Loblaw to enjoy delicious freshly made meals, and get inspired by some of the food trends to come in the new year?! I attended this event at Loblaw Carlton with my blogger gal-pal Sabrina of MyMiaou! Together, we had a blast!
On Wednesday morning I sought warmth in my morning oatmeal bowl, and decided to share three of the ways I like to prepare my oatmeal and steel cut oats in the morning! There’s the link to the post in case you missed it!
Thursday was one of those days that was so jam packed that by the end of the day, all I could do was come home and let myself be with my thoughts. Plopped down on the couch with an endless bag of salty snacks of course, because what other way is there to unwind?
If only you were there to witness my fanboy moment when a special delivery from Staub & Zwilling arrived at my doorstep! I can’t help but swoon over beautiful kitchen accessories, and this is particularly apparent in my love (re: obsession) with Staub blue and white ceramic pieces. I can’t wait to share pics of of I use and styled my pieces in the kitchen!
