Another Sunday, another seven days that have passed, and another seven things to be grateful for! This week was a balancing act for me. I did my best to make time for my loved ones, my career, and of course, my blog. Did I mention making time for Instagram?
Well… between you and I, I think we both know how much time I spend on Instagram! It can be like an endless vacuum sometimes, finding myself waking up, hours later with a full recap of everything and anything that’s happened in my freinds’ lives. It’s better than Netflix sometimes! :O
I was particularly excited regarding instagram this week, when I noticed that two of my photos were regrammed by accounts that I absolutely adore! One being Whole Foods Market and the other being Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle blog, goop!
See below for the whirlwind of excitement I felt on Tuesday, and six other peaches to be grateful for from my days last week!
Last Sunday I made some much deserved time for my number one, my heart mate. We were in need of some quality time together, what with two very hectic schedules, life can sometimes feel like it’s passing us by.
With last Sunday’s cold, blustery weather, I threw on the fireplace channel on the TV and held a romantic, surprise indoor picnic for the two of us to enjoy. No photos, no devices, just one on one time to reconnect and relax. It was the perfect way to spend time together and not think about anything else. And so easy to do at home!
My lunch hour on Monday was spent catching up with my mentor at work. I always love meeting with him because we talk about things that have nothing, yet everything to do with work. Recently we’ve been having conversations on mindfulness, positive thinking, the law of attraction… you name it. But the time we spend together is definitely time I’m grateful for, especially when we help each other frame things into a new perspective.
Sometimes all we need is to take a step back, slow down, and think… and things start to make sense again. Kind of like hitting a refresh button on your brain, though, I recommend trying to do exactly that!
What a day Tuesday was! A regram of my beet hummus recipe featured on Whole Foods’ Instagram account! And a regram of my pan bagnat recipe from Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle blog, goop’s, Instagram account!
I always love when my photos inspire others to share and regram and spread the inspo! Whether it’s food, travel or lifestyle inspiration, my motto is never stop being inspired! So needless to say, I was over the moon on Tuesday afternoon after two of the instagram accounts I love most, and follow for inspiration myself, shared two of my favourite photos!
Have you ever walked into a room where you just felt someone’s energy from across the room?! Last Wednesday, that was the exact feeling I felt when I got to meet Sarah Rafferty (Donna from Suits) at an event hosted by President’s Choice. You may know that Sarah is the spokesperson for PC, and if you’ve had the chance to meet her, you’ll may also know that she’s an absolute angel in real life.
After a long day of work, press touring, and public speaking, Sarah graciously agreed to meet and greet with myself and a handful of other PC Influencers, and she just had the absolute best attitude and energy!
That night was like a dream come true as we got to spend time with Sarah and her mother, Mimi, and chat about Sarah’s upbringing, holiday traditions, and twists on classic holiday recipes! Stay tuned for a full scoop on this start-studded evening coming soon!
Thursday was a bit of a mellow day for me, but that’s okay! Actually it’s perfect, because i LOVE mellow! Everyone knows I’m a homebody, and like Adele says “Why be doing something, when you can be doing nothing!” Am I right?!
Thursday evening I had plans to meet with some friends for drinks to catch up, but again, our busy schedules seemed to have taken over our lives. With plans to reschedule, I used my spare time to finish a personal development course I’d been working on all month. So it was me, the hubster and pupster in bed with my study notes! The peach of this day was unwinding in bed with my boys… and some snacks!
Friday was a dream as I wrapped up a ton of projects I’d been working at work, and came home to relax with the Gilmore Girls! Don’t laugh, but I happen to love this show. I used to watch it with my mom, who was a single mom for a big chunk of my life, and the memories of us spending time together come flooding back every time I watch the show. NO SPOILERS PLEASE! I still haven’t seen the revival movie on Netflix yet so don’t mention any of it to me if you see me!
Not too much to share with you from Saturday… not yet anyway! 🙂 But stay tuned for an exciting campaign that I’m grateful to have contributed to that I worked on on Saturday. I will be unveiling my contribution to the campaign on my Instagram account December 7th 2016! Be sure to stay tuned, not to miss this exciting holiday campaign!
