Hey friends! Thanks for all the support on social media lately with the vegan recipes I’ve been sharing! Let me know if you like them and I’ll be sure to keep them coming!
Many of you know by now that I’ve been dabbling in different vegan recipes for a while now. And while becoming fully vegan may be in the cards for me, I’m mindful about the time it would take to get there. It’s not like I was born with an arsenal of vegan recipes, right?! Gotta learn them somehow though!
I picked up some cookbooks recently that I absolutely love for delicious plant-based recipe inspiration. Skip straight to Monday (below) to find out which one I’m currently coveting! 🙂
Last Sunday I facetimed with my mom for dinner which was surely the peach of my day! We’ve facetimed pretty regularly since I moved out to Toronto but for some reason we never thought to do it over dinner?! Felt like I was a kid again chatting about our days over dinner!
Cyber Monday Madness!
Yep, I did it. I fell victim to the madness of Amazon’s Cyber Monday specials! I’d had my eye on Angela Liddon’s “Oh She Glows Every Day” plant-based cookbook for a while now… and for $18 CAD it quickly became MINE! Looking forward to sharing all the plant based recipes I whip up from the book! Stay tuned!
Yay for finishing a professional development course I’d committed to for work! The course was about to expire (on Wednesday), so finishing it up and writing the final exam was THE peach of the week! Naturally, I celebrated the next day!
The peach of my day this day was waving goodbye to all the studying I put into my professional development course! Celebrations with friends took place at The Real Jerk for some authentic Jamaican food! Fun fact: The Real Jerk is also the location of Drake & Rihanna’s “Work” video! :O
Thursday was so fun! Loblaw’s hosted an amazing evening where they unveiled 2017’s biggest food trends! Stay tuned for a full post on all the awesome trends! Hint: foreign spices are likely going to make a real splash in your kitchens next year!
Friday, S & I got to see a friend of ours from Montréal who was in town for a wedding. S and her got to spend some quality time together which is so important for friends, especially long distance friends! The best part about the visit though, was getting to spend time with her newborn baby, S’ god-daughter! They really do grow up so fast!
The peach of my day on Saturday was definitely spending the full day with my heartmate! I had the day packed with activities including time exploring the Toronto Christmas Market, an afternoon movie and a wild dinner at one of Toronto’s wildest Japanese restaurants: Kinka Izakaya! PS, they have the BEST sake-bombs in town!
