Pesto pesto pesto!
I don’t think I’ve ever met a pesto I didn’t love.
Team Savoury strikes again, and has stolen my heart with this simple avocado pesto recipe. It’s vegan, gluten-free, has only seven ingredients, and requires less than five, yes five, minutes to make. I usually make it while my pasta is boiling!
Hello pesto party night!
This vegan pesto recipe works great on pizza, too!
For today’s recipe, I’ve got pestos best friend, pasta. The universal comfort food.
This avocado pesto works great with hot pasta, freshly made, or even cold pasta as a pasta salad.
One of my favourite pro tips when it comes to making pasta, is lightly frying it in a pan after it’s prepared. This will really pull out the flavour of the sauce and give it a crispier texture!
I’m using the Ballarini 11” Torino Frying Pan which seriously works like a charm. The heat distribution on it is impeccable, and perfectly crisps up my pasta noodles! Mmm!
Oh, and did I mention?! This pesto is packed with healthy nutrients like B vitamins, fibre, protein, iron, selenium and more.
Here’s how to make this simple vegan avocado pesto recipe in under 5 minutes!

And if like me, you enjoy your pasta bursting with flavour… once it’s done boiling, mix in your pesto sauce, and on stovetop lightly fry your pasta on medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
