Some of you caught a glimpse of my instagram video on Sunday where I shared a teaser of some nutty toasts! To all my friends who messaged me asking for the recipe, hang tight, they’re coming soon! For today, I’m going to introduce you to two vegan toast recipes and one non-vegan (for my chocolate & Nutella lovers)!
Last weekend, my dear friend Megan of Megs Cucina and I got together to feed our inner toast desires with some new toast recipes.
Both of us are big fans of trying new things, and we love a good toast to share on #ToastTuesday! We decided that one of the recipes would be great this season, as fresh fruits and hazelnut/chocolate spreads pair perfectly during the holidays!
The other two toats recipes go out to my vegan friends!
Both are great for quick weekend bites paired with a cup of coffee, and one of them happens to fulfill my every desire (re: love affair) for peanut butter. One the next few weeks, Megan and I will be sharing out the recipes for each of these delicious toast, and don’t worry, we’ll make sure to spread the love (and the Nutella) in time for the holidays!
The Hazelnut-Apple Swirl
Who doesn’t love a good chocolate hazelnut spread?! I find this Hazelnut Apple Swirl Toast to be a great one to serve to friends and family as a sweet treat apres dinner! Or even as an accompaniment to your weekend coffee and magazine. Then best part about this one is how easy it is to make smaller bite-sized portions to share!
Avocado & Grape Tomato Harvest
When I’m not head over heels infatuated with the nutty goodness of peanut butter, I turn to my other love; avocados! I think by now, if you follow my instagram account, you’d know how much I love avocado toast! A great one I had recently was from The Juice Standard in Vegas. It came with sprouts and radishes and smashed avocados. For this one, I tied in the fresh organic sprouts, but swapped the radishes from some fresh grape tomatoes!
Honey Banana-Nut Crunch
This goes out to all my fellow nut lovers! Growing up, I literally used to eat peanut butter from the jar with a spoon! Is that weird? And after watching Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap dunk her oreos in a jar of peanut butter, I knew I wasn’t alone in the world!
Megan and I consider this one to be an elevated version of the classic childhood “mashed banana on toast”. And while I’m not sharing the full recipe with you today, I CAN give you a hint or two on some of the ingredients! Namely, honey and cocoa granola!
I hope you love these toast recipes and try some of them at home yourself!
Stay tuned for the FULL toast recipes coming to the blog over the next few Tuesdays!
