In case you needed another reason to break your summer-prep diet and gobble down some saucy pizza, enter True True Pizza Toronto!
Many of you already know that I live and work downtown Toronto, so whenever a new restau opens up on the block, I’m on the hunt! True True Pizza happens to be steps away for me, and I used to frequent the pizza joint that was there before; One Pizza.
Believe it or not the owners of True True Pizza actually happens to be the same owners that owned One Pizza, however, they gave it this super cool and retro-funky face lift (which I love btw) and kept the same flawless pizza menu. What you see in my photo above are two of their lunch specials; a half sized pizza and a side salad for only like $12 bucks – how awesome right?!
My top menu picks?!
- The Donnie Brasco
- The Aristocrat
Their website: eattrutrue.com isn’t fully up and running yet unfortunately, so I can’t share the delicious ingredients of my top picks. But all the ingredients they used to make our pizzas on demand, were all extremely fresh, including their homemade pizza sauce!
True True Pizza knocked it out of the park with their fresh ingredients and delicious sauce!
What’s even better? If you aren’t as much of a fan as I am of their listed menu items, you can build your own individually sized pizza, totally custom! You start by choosing the bread (naturally), either white or whole wheat, then you get to choose your sauce, and any/all of the ingredients you want as True True custom makes your pizza.
They’ve got ingredients that range from wild free range eggs, to blue cheese and goat cheese and more. With a pizza joint only steps away and a killer lunch menu, there’s definitely no reason not to try!
Be sure to check back in on Eat True True’s website when it’s fully running, give them a like and follow on instagram @eattruetrue!
Happy pizza munching friends – enjoy!
