Happy Valentine’s Day Friends!
Today I have for you, some of my favourite items to celebrate the day of love! Some of these photos, I actually took last year when I was putting together a gift guide on my old blog. When I was shopping around online and browsing some gift ideas on what to get S for this year’s Valentine’s Day, it hit me. He had loved some of the gifts I had gotten him last year, like this tin of Oprah Chai tea from Teavana and the Spa Package including a couple’s massage for two from Trump’s International Hotel & Tower spa; Purebeauty Salon & Spa. The gifts were great last year and great again this year, need I say #timeless?!
I know that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I love getting gifts for someone I love, getting them something like this personalised moon lamp and just waiting to see how much they love it, is an absolutely great feeling! Seeing the joy and the smile that it could bring to their face is just priceless and it makes me feel so good, particularly when I know that they will love it. Especially when it is a meaningful gift, like the couples braceles from Braceletworld.co for example. You can’t beat the look on someones face when they open something like that. I understand that for some people finding the perfect gift can be tough. But it doesn’t have to be!
I mean the couple’s massage from Trump Toronto‘s Purebeauty Salon & Spa was perfection!
The heart-shaped macarons that you see in the pics were more for me than they were for S lol! But I picked them up nonetheless (from Butter Avenue) as last year was the first year they released these limited edition macarons. Butter Avenue is one of my favourite Toronto bakeries, and they happen to make the most delicious macarons I’ve EVER had, totally comparable if not superior to ones in Paris.
I also decided to get a quirky little gift that we could laugh about. I found a company that creates personalisierte unterwäsche and just had to get a pair! He loved them and still wears them now. It was so nice giving him a gift he could never have dreamt of.
I find Valentine’s Day perfectly situated, that is, in the time of year, we celebrate. February is typically the coldest month for us here in Toronto, which is why when I was shopping, I wanted to get something that would keep us warm as we cuddled on the couch during the day to relax together. I’m personally a huge tea fan, and Teavana’s Oprah Chai was one of S’ favourite flavours when we visited the store at Toronto’s Eaton Centre and tasted a couple of new flavours at the time. So a couple of cups of tea, mine with milk and honey, his with just raw sugar and we were nice and toasty on the cold February day!
I hope everyone enjoys the weekend and stays warm!
