Have you ever walked into a room and felt instantly happy, or comfortable?
That’s what it’s like for me when I visit Whole Foods.
And before you ask – the answer is no, this post is NOT sponsored! I actually recently visited the newly opened Leaside Whole Foods Market location for a project that I collaborated on with them, and the visit got me thinking.
What makes Whole Foods Market so great?!
It’s that feeling of comfort. Of curiosity. Of actually feeling like I’m at a real market.
I like that experience!
I like being able to discover (what feels like) a million different food products. I could spend hours learning about the different brands of chocolate, or kombucha, or olive oil! I live for that stuff!
The new Whole Foods Leaside location has so many cool and unique departments!
They’ve got their fresh, ready-made ingredients salad bar (a classic) which I la-la-love. When I visited, I actually made a salad with grilled pineapple and teriyaki tofu! That combo though… trust!
But really, from the freshly baked bread – made daily, to their bulk section to their produce section, you could quite literally spend hours discovering new things.
My favourite part of the store is their produce section.
#DYK Whole Foods places an emphasis on ensuring approx. 70% of their produce is organic!
Of course, this works on rotation, and in the summer months a bigger emphasis is placed on buying local.
But how awesome, right?
The more I reflected, the more I discovered that the Whole Foods experience doesn’t quite end in the store. I love how they value important topics like:
- the significance of buying local,
- supporting communities,
- selling fair trade products,
- putting good foods into our bodies,
- and of course, education on healthy foods.
All of that naturally adds to your affinity to a brand. I mean, right? I know it does for me!
Some of my favourite foods are only available at Whole Foods and that’s part of the reason why I keep going back, too!
What are some of your Whole Foods Faves?!
I know I personally LOVE to share my #wholefoodsfaves on Instagram, some being a blue-green spirulina powder or their delicious 365 brand dark chocolate! But as I’m sure you know, I love discovering new things – so go ahead and toss me a comment below to let me know your faves!
